John Ashman, O.D. Dr. John G. Ashman graduated from the Indiana University School of Optometry in 1963. He is the recipient of the Indiana Optometric Association Optometrist of the Year award, and the Foley House award for dedication to the profession and School of Optometry. He has served on the Dean's advisory council as the Optometry School representative to the Indiana University Executive Council. He has also served six years on the Indiana Board of Examiners.
He is past National President of the Indiana University Alumni Association, and past president of the Indiana University/Woodburn Guild, Ball State University Cardinal Varsity Club, and Visiting Nurses Association. He has served as State Secretary to Volunteer Optometric Service to Humanity Board and is the recipient of the Spirit of Philanthropy Award, and two Sagamore of the Wabash, awarded by Governor Orr in 1987 and Governor Bayh in 1993. He is active with the Muncie Rotary Club and other local organizations.
Oren Olinger, O.D. Dr. Oren Olinger received his degree from Indiana School of Optometry in 1967 and has been a member of the American Optometric Association and the Indiana Optometric Association both since 1964. He is the recipient of the Indiana Optometric Optometrist of the year award, past president of the Indiana University Alumni Association, East Central Optometric Association, and the Indiana Optometric Association. He was appointed by the Governor to serve on the Indiana Optometry Board of Examiners, and has helped administer the State Board exams for three years. He is past Director of the Muncie Chamber of Commerce, past President Visiting Nurses Association, past President and still active member of the Ball State University Cardinal Varsity Club and has also served on many United Way Fund drives for Delaware County.
David Wilson, O.D. Dr. David Mel Wilson (a native of Muncie) graduated from the Indiana University School of Optometry in 1974. He is past president of the Indiana Optometric Association and continues to serve the association in other capacities. He was the recipient of the Indiana Optometrist of the Year award in 2004. He has served on the Indiana Vision Service Plan board of directors and currently is the Indiana representative for the national Vision Service Plan.
Dr. Wilson also serves on the board of directors for the Indiana chapter of VOSH (Volunteer Optometric Service to Humanity). He and his wife Debbie have traveled to Honduras on many VOSH missions. He and Debbie are the parents of 6 children and are very active in High Street United Methodist Church.
Karon Nowakowski, O.D. Dr. Karon Klem Nowakowski is a native of Winchester, Indiana. Dr. Nowakowski associated with Dr. Morton Roth immediately after graduating from Indiana University School of Optometry in May, 1990, and purchased his practice in August of that year. She is married to Muncie oral surgeon Allan Nowakowski and they have a daughter, Elle. Dr. Nowakowski is a member and past president of the Altrusa Club of Muncie, and is an active member of Alpha Chapter of Psi Iota Xi.
Wynde Ashman, O.D. Dr. Wynde Ashman earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Oklahoma in 1994 and her Doctorate in Optometry from Indiana University in 1999. Dr. Ashman has practiced full-time in our office since her graduation.
She enjoys spending time with her husband, Michael and their two children. Dr. Ashman belongs to the Muncie Children's Museum Guild and volunteers for Angel Worx and the American Heart Association. She is a member of Center Chapel United Methodist Church and the Delta Phi chapter of Tri Kappa.
Joshua D. Greenlee, O.D. Dr. Joshua D. Greenlee graduated from Delta High School in 2005 and went on to graduate from the University of Indianapolis in 2009 with a Bachelor's Degree in Biology. He was a member of both the high school and collegiate tennis programs of his alma mater. After graduating from the Indiana University School of Optometry in May 2013, he became the associate of Dr. John G. Ashman. Dr. Greenlee enjoys being an uncle, spending time with his family and playing tennis and golf. He is a member of The Bridge Community Church.
Jeremy S Gard, O.D. Dr. Jeremy Gard is a native of Mooreland, IN. He completed his Bachelor of Science degree in Biology in 2007 and Doctor of Optometry degree in 2011 at Indiana University. Dr. Gard gained valuable experience through numerous externships, including three month rotations at Ireland Army Hospital in Fort Knox, KY and American Health Network Eye Specialists in Muncie, IN. He was an associate of Dr. Timothy Kenkel in Cincinnati, OH for two years, and subsequently purchased Dr. Oren Olinger's practice in 2013. Dr. Gard is a therapeutically licensed optometrist in the states of Indiana and Ohio.
