EPIC

In our office, we use the innovative EPIC by Marco, a world leader in eye-care technology. This system uses advanced computer and infrared technologies to help us better evaluate your unique visual needs. The system also allows us to perform additional tests and to compare your old and new prescriptions very quickly. You'll probably notice that it's easier for you to tell us, "Which is better – 1 or 2?" In fact, the system makes the entire exam procedure faster and more comfortable for you. Not many offices offer this sophisticated technology. But we feel an obligation to offer the best available care to our patients. Our job is to make your vision as close to perfect as we can, and the EPIC helps us do the job.

Corneal Topographer

An instrument that projects a series of illuminated rings onto the corneal surface, which are reflected back into the instrument. The reflected rings of light are analyzed by the computer to create a topographical map of the cornea. This map gives eye care professionals precise information about the shape of the cornea similar. While a manual keratometer generally gives information only about the central cornea, this corneal topographer measures the entire area including the peripheral cornea. It also aids eye care professionals in fitting contact lenses and performing laser vision correction.

Topcon Retinal Camera-State-of-the-art Imaging Technology

Two of the most common causes of blindness are glaucoma and diabetic retinopathy. It is important to identify these disorders in there early stages and track them over time. Therefore, quick and convenient screening and diagnosis of the retina during normal examination of patient contributes greatly to reducing the incidence of blindness.

The Smart Mirror

One-third of eyeglass wearers cannot view themselves without their eyewear. At Family Vision Care you can view images of yourself in different frame styles on a computer monitor while wearing your glasses. The SMART MIRROR enables you to view up to four frame styles at a time on a display screen. Each image may be enlarged to a full screen view and the frame selection may be changed at any time to view additional styles.
